OPP charge driver following traffic stop

The 澳门三肖三码 detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on a driver erratically driving a vehicle, which led to an arrest. 

On March 31 shortly after 4 am, 澳门三肖三码 OPP officers were conducting general patrol on Water Street in the Town of Northeastern 澳门三肖三码 and the Islands (NEMI). Police observed a motor vehicle being driven in an erratic manner and conducted a traffic stop.

Upon speaking with the driver, police were able to determine the driver had consumed alcohol. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, 36-year-old James Hammer of New Liskeard has been charged with operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs, and operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay on April 16. The driver was issued a 90-day administrative driver鈥檚 licence suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Traffic complaint leads to charges

One driver has been arrested and charged for impaired driving following a traffic complaint.

On April 2, shortly after 10 pm, 澳门三肖三码 OPP officers responded to a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver on Highway 540. Police patrolled the area and located the motor vehicle on Mnaawnkwad Drive in M鈥機higeeng First Nation.

Police conducted a traffic stop and upon speaking with the driver, determined the driver had consumed alcohol. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, 24-year-old Dante Abotossaway from Little Current has been charged with: novice driver, blood alcohol consumption (BAC)  above zero, driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available, class G1 license holder accompanying driver BAC .05 or above, operation while impaired, alcohol and drugs, operation while impaired, BAC (80 plus), possession of a schedule 1 substance, cocaine.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay on May 21. 

The driver was issued a 90-day administrative driver鈥檚 licence suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Man charged with听impaired driving

A Little Current man faces charges for impaired driving and other offences following a traffic stop on 澳门三肖三码.

The 澳门三肖三码 OPP reported that officers were on patrol on Highway 6 in Assiginack Township on March 28 when they pulled over a vehicle around 1 pm. 

Upon speaking with the driver, police were able to determine that the driver had a suspended licence and had consumed alcohol. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the OPP detachment for further testing. 

Patrick Shean, 40, from Little Current was charged with impaired driving over 80 mgs, having pot readily available, driving while under suspension, and failure to surrender an insurance card.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay on May 7. Mr. Shean was issued a 90-day licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Impaired, possession of weapon charges

A M鈥機higeeng First Nation driver faces multiple charges, including being impaired and having a weapon, following a traffic stop on Highway 6. 

Officers with the 澳门三肖三码 OPP pulled the vehicle over Sunday, March 31 around 7 pm in NEMI. 

Upon speaking with the driver, police were able to determine he had consumed alcohol. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the OPP detachment for further testing. 

Douglas Jensen, age 45, from M鈥機higeeng First Nation, has been charged with impaired driving over 80 mgs, having open liquor and cannabis readily available and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The driver also faces charges for driving while under suspension, lacking insurance and plates, using an unauthorized permit, being a novice driver with a blood alcohol contest above zero and having an improper plate light.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay on April 23.

The driver received a 90-day licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
