With saddened hearts we announce that Mark has passed peacefully to his eternal rest to meet his Heavenly Father and his earthly father Willie McGregor (predeceased). Leaving behind his beloved mother Ruth; brother Scott; sisters Pam, Patricia and Jewel and Kevin Hobbs; niece Sarah and nephews Christopher and Ethan. Aunts, uncles, cousins and sons remain. All Oout of these held a place in his heart, which was devoted to strong family loyalty. A very special thank you to Lisa and Ron, along with Dr. Cooper for their friendship and devotion to Mark鈥檚 personal care over many years. Mark was a true warrior. Battling cancer alone and overcoming many extreme life challenges, all with fierce conviction, courage and steadfast endurance to the end. His caring spirit expressed true thankfulness to every kindness shown. Upon leaving his home in Massey, he was welcomed into his ancestral home in Birch Island, where he was honoured, cared for and accepted as himself. Thank you Whitefish River First Nation for welcoming your own and giving his life security and joy. We honor you for your kindness. Cremation will take place through Bourcier Funeral Home, Espanola, with other private requests met. Donations can be made in honour of Mark and his beloved Rottweilers to 鈥淭he Oscar Fund鈥 at Gray St. Veterinary Services, Espanola, ON. 705-885-7387.
