Enaadmaagemgad Enzhia鈥檡aayin program empowers Kenj students to pursue their goals

M鈥機HIGEENG鈥擪enjgewin Teg recently concluded the second intake of the Enaadmaagemgad Enzhia鈥檡aayin: Helping You on Your Path Program. Enaadmaagemgad Enzhia鈥檡aayin is founded on the traditional medicine wheel teachings, serving as a comprehensive guide for holistic development. Aiming to help students with their emotional, spiritual, physical and mental health while providing them with tools to build their personal and professional bundle.

Each cohort of 15 dedicated participants embarks on a transformative and remarkable six-week journey. 

鈥淲itnessing their extraordinary growth, unwavering dedication, and resilient spirits fills us with immense pride,鈥 notes Dean of Post Secondary Education and Training Debbie Debassige. 鈥淭hese individuals鈥 accomplishments speak volumes about their aspirations for future success.鈥

Beyond their personal development, Enaadmaagemgad Enzhia鈥檡aayin students have forged lifelong connections with their peers and facilitators, further enriching their experience and fostering a supportive community within the program.

When asked about their biggest takeaway from the program, one student commented, 鈥淏eing motivated and gaining confidence to return to school and go after my dreams.鈥 Another said, 鈥淎ny pathway is possible, there鈥檚 tons of support.鈥

Kenjgewin Teg is one of nine Indigenous Institutes in Ontario recognized under the Indigenous Institutes Act of 2017. In January 2022, Kenjgewin Teg was declared an accredited Indigenous Institute in Ontario by the Indigenous Advanced Education and Skills Council (IAESC).
